The Balmoral Show in Belfast is a four-day event that is held in May each year. In 2019, it was held from the 15th of May till the 18th of May at the Balmoral Park in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Have you ever been to the Balmoral Show in Belfast before? Sometimes travelling gets more interesting and exciting when events, shows, parties and such things start to appear. The Balmoral Show in Belfast/Lisburn, Northern Ireland, showcases a range of agricultural themed and trade events that would attract people from around the world to it; it is an event that is held and supported by the Agriculture and Forestry industry. This show in Northern Ireland is considered the largest agri-food event. If you have a plan of visiting Northern Ireland in May then you should never miss the chance to attend this show because it is held in the same month every year in Balmoral Park. There is something for all the family at the show such as the showjumping competitions, motorcycle display, bands, shopping, tasting, children's farm, and displays of falconry, pedigree horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs and goats. It's perfect for those look to sample a taste of some of the best Northern Ireland food and suppliers. There is a strong history carried behind this show. The Balmoral Show was founded back in 1854 and the first shows were held by the North East Agricultural Association at Belfast Corporation Markets between 1855 and 1895. In 1872, the first three-day show was held in Ormeau Park in association with the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland. 2018 was the celebration of Balmoral Show's 150 birthday and this just proves how old this event is and how long people is it has been supported by the people of Belfast and Northern Ireland. This isn't the only event or festival held in Northern Ireland which attracts many visitors each year. An few examples of these events are the Festival of Fools, Belfast Food Festival, St. Patrick's Day in Belfast and the Continental MArket which is held during the Christmas period and in Spring in the heart of Belfast city. This Balmoral Show 2019 was considered different because it was the second year in which the event ran for four days rather than the traditional three ones which we have always been used to. Everything in side the event is ope to the public with no specific order in which stalls or sector to visit. This year, there were more than 650 trade stands with 3,500 livestock competing over the four days. There were more than 90 food and drinks companies offering tasters for their finest products. This was an extra interesting event for families with young children because of the children's farm, the fun fair and the donkey displays which kept them excited. There were exciting shows like the bike riders who managed to amaze all the kids attending as well as the adults. Visiting Belfast or Northern Ireland next May?
