Forget visiting a maritime museum when you can visit a maritime festival or Tall Ships! Actually see the beautiful ships in person - climb on board - talk to the crew...get a feel for what it must be like to sail these out into open waters. Often more than 40 Tall Ships sail to multiple cities around the world and give us ordinary people a chance to see these monsters of the sea close up. They visit cities around the UK, Ireland, Europe - and towards the USA and Canada. Admission tends to be free - so really worth going out for a day and exploring these. This video was shot when Belfast City held the Maritime Festival and some of the same ships that take part in the Tall Ships visited the city again.
