Here are some interesting facts about the Serapeum of Saqqara: -Serapeum is a temple dedicated to the syncretic Greco-Egyptian deity Serapis. -It’s located north-west Djoser Pyramid at Saqqara necropolis near Memphis. -It was a burial place of Apis bulls which are sacred bulls, -there were incarnations of the ancient Egyptian deity Ptah. -The Serapeum’s origin dates back to around 1400 BC. -It was discovered in 1851 by French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette.
